Yesterday Mike was told he will be stationed in Camp Tallil during his time in Iraq. Camp tallil Airfield is located about 310 kilometers southeast of Baghdad. It is complete desert everything is covered in sand. Tallil was the earliest city in the world and because of this it is one of the most famous archeological sites. While Mike is there i am sure he will be extrememly hot they say that in the shade it is over 120 degrees. Mike leaves sometime in April but there set arival date to be in Tallil is May 5th. I know things in Iraq are getting better but while Mike is gone please keep him in your thoughts and prays!

I am a typical stay at home mom. I do my best to stay organized and keep Mike and Mason happy. There seems to be a lot going on right now in my life but I know we are still tremendously blessed. It has been hard leaving family and friends during this relocation to Texas. I try my best to stay positive and support my husbands career in the United States Army. We are staying extremely busy preparing for our first Christmas with Mason. This time of year has always been a favorite of mine but it just seems to get better now that we have our little guy here.
Mike is doing great and working extra hard. He is a chemical specialist in the United States Army. He has been placed in the 1st Cavalry Aviation Unit. During are move he found out that he will be leaving for Iraq sometime in April. Even though he is sad to leave he is being a rock for our family. He's staying positive and is ready to go serve his time and get a good experience out of the whole thing. During his off time he would most likely want to be golfing but lately it has just been work and every free second he spends time hanging out and entertaining Mason. He is an amazing father and husband!
"The Army Wife Prayer"
Dear Lord, Give me the greatness of heart to see the difference between duty and his love for me. Give me understanding that I may know, when duty calls him he must go. Give me a task to do each day, to fill the time when he's away. When he's in a foreign land, keep him safe in your loving hand. And when duty is in the field, please protect him and be his shield. And when deployment is so long, please stay with me and keep me strong. Amen.
